Emotional Healing Journal: When Small Things Are Tenderly Seen

Perhaps, if only this little thing is seen, I won't feel alone and the fear won't last long.

I called the Talking Points and Specialist Hotline 29 times and told them all what was on my mind, thinking that would put an end to it.

By accident, my best roommate noticed the bruises on my wrists today, and I had to prevaricate that I couldn't remember how I got them.

Actually, I lied, the wound is recent.

I was going to be honest about it, but thought it would be better for her and me to keep it to myself.

This whole thing has made me a little sad, I can feel the emotions and now just want to get out of it as soon as possible.

Perhaps it would be good for this little thing to be seen.

I have a pretty quiet life right now, but worry that the days will go back to the way they were.

I'm not alone, and I won't be afraid for long.

Hello, owner! I'm Whale Social Worker Koboku.

First of all, I give you a warm hug and understand very well how you feel. From what you have shared, I can see that your friend clearly found out about your situation, but you chose to avoid it, when inside you actually craved attention. This just shows where the inner conflict lies.

This may be because our past experiences have accustomed us to suppressing our emotions. When we were young, our parents used to teach us to be brave and not to cry, and as we grow up we become more and more likely to ignore our true feelings. But hiding our emotions and always thinking of others prevents us from being truly happy ourselves. Why don't you try to tell someone you trust, who probably cares more about you, and it won't hurt each other?

Best wishes~ (whale social worker 🐳)
